This is where Dyson drastically improves the cleaning performance by including the direct drive cleaner head which increases cleaning performance by 75% over the V6 Slim and V6 +. New to the V8 line is the HEPA filter and extended battery life.
Designed to clean all areas of your home, the Dyson V8 Animal is packed with improvements over previous cordless Dyson vacuums. The new cleaner head uses a direct drive system, which means the motor is located inside the brush bar. This allows the Animal to operate without belts and have 75% more power at the head over the Dyson V6 Slim and Plus. A mix of nylon and carbon fiber brushes allow the V8 Animal to operate on both carpeted and bare floor surfaces without having to change attachments. The stiffer nylon bristles separate and agitate carpet fibers, where the carbon brushes remove fine dust particles from bare floor surfaces. When cleaning carpeted stairs or upholstery the mini motorized power head is the best option. The detachable wand and tool configuration allows for great versatility - you can clean floors, stairs, and hard to reach areas all with one machine.
The re-engineered Lithium Ion battery is made from a nickel manganese cobalt material that will provide fade-free power, and won't develop a 'charge memory.' Enjoy 40 minutes of cleaning with the dusting brush / crevice tool. When you run out of battery life connect the unit to the charging / docking base and have full power in 3.5 hours.
Instead of relying on filters to remove dust the V8 Animal uses 2 Tier-Radial Cyclone filtration. This technology allows for the separation of fine dust and dirt particles before the air passes through the filter. To lower dust emissions, and ensure no dirt gets re-circulated into the room, the Dyson V8 vacuums now come with HEPA filters for improved performance. For best performance empty the dirt bin when the debris reaches the 'max' line and wash the filter under cold water monthly.
