Miele SUB 20 Multi Angle Dusting Brush makes cleaning easy!
It’s a typical scene: you get your new vacuum home, take it out of the box, and start cleaning … but then you notice there is that one spot you can’t quite reach, or the upholstery tool doesn’t clean your carpeted stairs as well as you wish. While most Miele vacuums come included with a standard crevice tool, dusting brush, and upholstery tool, there is a full range of optional tools that are designed to clean those awkward areas. Finally, you can clean your whole home with one vacuum.
If you’re finding the area is just too big to clean with the regular dusting brush, Miele has an additional dusting brush with a larger opening and more bristles. The Miele Universal Multi Angle Dusting Brush, sometimes called the Miele Flexible Dusting Brush, which has a double pivot neck. This allows you to customize the angle to reach the tops of fan blades, bookshelves, and cabinets, all while remaining standing on the ground as pictured in the above images.
While some homes have large areas that need to be cleaned, all homes have tight spaces that are almost impossible to vacuum. This is where the Miele Flexible Crevice Tool, which is 22” long, comes into play. The unique plastic material allows it to hold its shape and remain open while bending around corners.
By attaching the Miele Flexible crevice tool onto the end of the hose handle, you can clean the abyss that is couches, in-between seats, and in door pockets in cars, or between and under appliances. For a thorough cleaning, you can remove floor vents and clean the places that are most often forgotten or neglected. It can also be used to clean dryer vents, which helps to reduce the chance of fire, and increases airflow allowing for faster drying time.
While the included tools are okay at cleaning most surfaces, there are certain circumstances where they just won't cut it. For homes with carpeted stairs or a lot of upholstery, we always recommend the Miele STB101 Mini Turbo Head. Unlike the standard upholstery tool, this Miele attachment has an air-driven agitator. This rotating brush bar helps to separate carpet fibers and loosen stubborn dirt, allowing the suction of the machine to remove the debris.
Due to its compact size, it is easier to use in tight spaces (like stairs) than the regular floor tool. Because of the added agitator, it outperforms the other upholstery tools available through Miele. It works great to clean carpeted stairs, furniture, and upholstery, and works great to clean vehicle interiors.

Not only does Miele have vacuum attachments that can meet regular requirements, but they also have tools that are ideal for homes with allergy or asthma sufferers. For people with sensitivities to particles found in dust, it is important to be able to clean every inch of the home, especially the areas they spend the most amount of time in.
As humans we usually sleep or lay in bed for 8 hours per day. Since there are 365 days in a year, and we live to an average age of 81 years in Canada, we spend roughly 236,520 hours very close to a mattress. That is a lot of time to shed skin cells, which are dust mites’ primary food source.
If skin cells aren’t removed from the mattress material, the dust mites will continue to breed and increase in numbers … which means the amount of fecal matter deposited into the mattress by the critters will increase as well.
It’s this fecal matter, which we can breathe in while we sleep, that can aggravate allergy and asthma symptoms. By regularly vacuuming your mattress, you can help reduce the amount of dust mites and, in turn, reduce allergy and asthma triggers present in the home. With its wide opening the Miele Mattress attachment will make the task of vacuuming your mattress quicker and easier than expected.
While special attention should be given to areas like the mattress, it is important to note that even small amounts of dust can have a huge impact on people with allergies or asthma. Dust can accumulate in small or hard-to- reach areas, and because of this, Miele has got you covered with their array of different vacuum tools.
Over time tools can wear out or become damaged and will need to be replaced. This includes the standard attachments included with the package. For best performance, vacuum attachments should be replaced when bristles are worn down or are falling out, as well as if there are cracks in the plastics.
All Miele straight suction tools, including all of the ones mentioned above, will work with all Miele vacuum cleaners regardless of age. This means you can add tools to an older machine to clean new areas or add them to the package at the time of purchase for hassle-free cleaning for years to come.
