Since the invention of the Upright Carpet Cleaners, customer satisfaction and ease of use has skyrocketed within this sector of the market. The older style Canister Carpet Cleaner market has all but disappeared.

What is the best way to clean carpets?

Wet Carpet Cleaning: Thoroughly Vacuum the carpet with a good agitation type vacuum. Next pre-spot traffic areas and bad stains with a recommended carpet pre-spotter. Shampoo the carpet using the extractor keeping in mind that you should only make one pass with solution and a second pass without solution.
Once you have completed the shampooing process, empty and reload the solution tank with clear cold water. Repeat the shampooing method twice more rinsing the carpet of all the pre-spotter and shampoo. Allow carpet to dry. Drying time is up to 8 hours, any longer means you have used too much water on the carpet. Be sure to put tinfoil under all furniture legs as the dampness may create rust stains on your carpet.

Dry Carpet Cleaning: Thoroughly Vacuum the carpet with a good agitation type vacuum. Next pre-spot traffic areas and bad stains with a recommended carpet pre-spotter. Use as little pre-spotter as possible, then wait for this to dry. Distribute the Dry Carpet Powder over the entire area to be cleaned.
Scrub using an aggressive brush machine like the SEBO DUO-P to agitate the powder into the carpet. Allow to dry to 30 minutes or longer then vacuum up. Be sure to use a good quality vacuum with a fresh bag in it and replace the bag after each 10’ x 15’ area.

Can I clean carpet without water?
