This vacuum cleaner is ultra mobile as it has extra large rubber coated wheels along with a swivel head that easily maneuvers around furniture. The light weight hose and metal adjustable wand make it easier to pull behind. For cleaning hard surfaces Electrolux includes a combination floor brush that also converts to a flat carpet head for cleaning delicate carpet where a power head isn't needed.
Built with an extremely silent, variable speed motor that is backed by a 7 year warranty you can trust. No dirt is safe in the path of this vacuum cleaner as the tremendous ammout of airflow deep cleans carpets and will even lift heavy dirt and sand from deep grout lines. Most vacuums struggle at lifting heavy dirt off of bare floor but not the Ultra One. Activate the Auto Suction feature and it will adjust the speed of the motor to have just the right amount.
One of the unique designs of this model is the 3 in 1 above floor attachment. Most other models come with a set of tools that you have to keep track of and try not to misplace them. The Electrolux Ultra One has a Multi-Tool that will do the job of the dusting brush, crevice tool and upholstery tool, it even stores on board.

For the last ten years we've used an upright bagless vacuum. I really became tired of all the little filters they don't mention when they talk about the benefits of bagless -- foam filters that have to be cleaned off with an old toothbrush then washed in the sink. Ugh, I hated all the dust, dirt, and mess of cleaning those ancillary filters.
So I decided to go back to a bagged vacuum, and wanted one with a reputation. We replaced the cheap uprights about once every 2-3 years so there wasn't much savings vs. buying a top line product like Electrolux, which I expect will last 10 years or more based on the build quality.
After some internet digging for reviews I settled on the new Ultra One (not even available yet stateside). I was worried about buying international, but McHardy Vacuum in London, Ontario was terrific. There was a small snafu in the ordering and they graciously provided an extra part as a courtesy.
The Ultra One is terrific and our housekeeper says it cleans much, much better. She now uses the vac for our hardwood floors as well as carpets, and the carpets look noticably better and cleaner. The hardwoods feel better barefoot too. I've used the Ultra One myself a few times and it takes some getting used to vs. an upright but since it works so much better it is worth the learning curve. (I vacuumed backing up using an upright, but vacuum moving forward since a canister vac is easier to pull around than push around.)
Overall, great marks for the Ultra One (terrific, quiet, easy to use) and also for McHardy's. Obviously McHardy's is the kind of merchant who takes care of their customers.
