Loading... Please wait...Dyson Motorhead vacuums are designed to clean homes with a mixture of carpet and bare floor. The term Motorhead refers to the inclusion of an electric power nozzle for cleaning carpets with a rotating brush. This vacuum cleaner is now ready to pick up pet hair, dust, lint and many other forms of dirt that stick to carpets. The power nozzle is very aggressive and is not recommended for delicate or looped carpet. We suggest turning the brush off for delicate carpet. For bare floor Dyson includes a 12" floor brush that is gentle enough for the finest hardwood. For convenience, you will find a dusting brush, crevice tool and upholstery tool that store on board the vacuum. The bagless easy empty dirt container dumps out with the push of a button, much easier than the previous DC20 and DC21. The same Root Cyclone technology is what separates the dirt from the air which allows for cleaner air and an easy clean filter.
The Dyson Animal Vacuum comes with the Bonus Mini Turbo Brush, Stiff Bristle Brush and Flexible Crevice Tool. These extra tools are great for cleaning tough ground in dirt and those hard to reach places. The Mini Turbine Head is an air powered agitator that is small enough to clean stairs and upholstery. The Stiff Bristle Brush is great for loosening dry, ground in dirt and the Flexi Crevice tool will bend and twist to reach in areas you never thought possible. These tools are also a great way to clean cars and other vehicles.

McHardy shipped the wrong product, but they made it right within 24 hrs.
Fantastic customer service.
We have a cat, and this picks up the hair no problem.

I previously had the regular DC 23 model and it was the only thing I missed, when I ended a previous relationship..
Moving into a house with a long hair cat and a dog, the "logical" decision was to upgrade to the DC23 Motorhead Animal. My partner still makes fun of me, but she is amazed when she sees the full canister and a clean carpet. It takes a while to switch from one specific tool to the other, but it is worthy! The mini Turbine Head is amazing, although it needs to be cleaned by hand later on (trapped cat hair).

I love my new Dysan. I have a dog that sheds constantly. It picks up everything and my old carpets look like new. I am very happy with this product.

I did a lot of research before I chose the Dyson. It was more expensive than other models but definitely worth the money! We have a cat and I was shocked to see how much cat hair came out of the carpet - the carpet looks brand new again! The positives defintly outweigh the negatives and I would highly recommend this vacuum to anyone.

Bought the Dyson DC23 Animal about 3 weeks ago. Was somewhat apprehensive after reading negative remarks. Cork length, hose twisting, awkward, plastic cheap material...the list goes on. After years of various vacuums and central vac, this product far outweighs what the company promised to deliver. I don't find the quality of the product a problem whatsoever. It's fun vacuuming just to see how fast the canister fills up; and with 2 dogs and a very active household involved in horses and people who can't remove footwear, it fills up fast!! From the bottom of my heart, thank you Dyson. And when observing negative comments vs. positive, the positive far outnumber the negatives and that was the deciding factor.
