Easy to maintain: the dirt cup simply twists off.  After the cyclonic filtration there is a washable sponge filter that is also interchangeable with the Hoover BH50010 Platinum LiNX Stick Vacuum, and Hoover SH20030 Corded Stick Vacuum.  A flip out crevice tool with slide out dust brush are mounted right under the nozzle for convenience.
